Feature is the First New York Times Appearance for Jaffer

Press Release Body = (New York, NY) - June 25, 2007. Reality Television Expert, Murtz Jaffer, has arrived. His interview has appeared in the New York Times. Jaffer, a self proclaimed media icon, was interviewed on the applications that Facebook has recently implemented.

In the wake of the new face of Facebook, Jaffer's displeasure drove him to create an
anti-application group and within the first day over 500 users joined the online group. This staggering response from the users prompted a freelance reporter from the New York Times to contact him.

If there's anyone who has his hand on the pulse of society it's Murtz Jaffer, who quickly felt the need to start a group and knew that others would join him in his frustration. Jaffer uses Facebook to maintain contact with business associates and states that the new applications such as links to photos, videos and sound clips are unnecessary when dealing with business professionals. The group's members have expressed their discontent, comparing the changes to MySpace and many are expressing that these new features are childish and that the site is digressing rather than expanding.

“When I was in journalism school, they said that if you made it into the New York Times, you had truly made it as a journalist. I think it is even better when the article is about you and it is a great honor,” said Jaffer.

Facebook first appeared on the world wide web in early 2004 as a social networking website orignally developed for students. It has since become one of the most visited websites in the US.

Jaffer's bio includes The Sports Network (Canada's ESPN), ScoopsWrestling, Entertainment Tonight Canada, the Toronto Sun and ICON. He also founded Survivor-Central.com. Currently, he is the Chief Content Officer at InsidePulse.com (which he co-founded) and has his own entertainment segment on Z103.5 FM. His knowledge and presence has dominated the media including the internet, print, radio and television making him a leader in pop culture and trends.
